One Page Books

I was just in a swap that was based on this tutorial from The Creative Place. I love that site and often go there for inspiration. Anyway, these are the little books that I sent to my partners:

Algae ATC

Haven't updated in a while because I got married on July 7th!

Here is the second in the "Science Nerds ATC Series". The theme was "algae". I decided not to do the next one, "brains" because I found it a little uninspiring. 

Hot Day!

We've had some brutally hot weather lately. Here are Ryan & Briza enjoying the back porch in the evening:

Cupcake ATC Series #2: Chocolate

Another ATC series I'm participating in is a cupcake one. The first was "Pretty Pink", and I think I did alright on that one. The next cupcake, "Chocolate", was a bit more fun to make.

 I used a sewing pattern for the liner. I learned too late that the glue shows through, however. I hope the buttons would detract from that. Lesson learned!

Cell ATC

This is a cell themed ATC I made for "Science Nerds ATC #1: Cells". I used to love drawing cells in biology classes, and got to revisit that. I was also able to name every part of them too! I drew plant cells for this one. Don't mind the raccoon, he's part of a memo sheet I use since the counter was too shiny.

Found Object Jars

Each table at the reception will have one of these jars, among some other rustic stuff. They're just little mason jars with "found" crafty things in them, like ribbons & buttons. They're sealed with vintage fabric and tied with yarn.
